ATI RADEON X1900 XT OS X DRIVER

The display is running at x native rez through the DVI port. The problem generally doesn't appear, but when it rears its head it is definitely an annoyance. My warranty expires in less than 15 days I have considered talking to apple about it but am loathe to give up my machine for any period of time since its my main work machine. I haven't tried switching to the other DVI port or using the VGA cable, mostly because I can't be bothered to try since the problem is so minor and sporadic.

I'm using an Apple Cinema HD 23" display though, so x1900 it's related to his display. You are welcome to post this up. Now it's what I imagine all PC users see, instead of a blocky, pink mess I get the black screen with the green loading bar, sweet Please follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the process.

I will check my firmware version later tonight. But not sure you are using one. I haveimages in it referenced and it is much faster scrolling the thumbs now for some reason. User profile for user: Aati it aint broke, don't fix it. I have not had a problem with a scrambled display in bootcamp. Not sure if you're ever heard of this problem, but I figured I would explain it some in case this crops up with other readers. I had no issue before the update and have no issue after the update.

I will report back in a few days after I have time to see if the shimmering effect has gone away or not, since its so sporadic. If all you were going to be using this box for was Windows, on the other hand, you could possibly get this to work, assuming that the power connector issue is easily resolved the XT requires an extra power connector. So far, so good.

I'm running XP with a 30 inch Apple cinema display. While there are fewer differences than there used to be between Windows and Mac, we're still not to the point where you can just go out and buy any old Windows video card and throw it in the Mac Pro. All brand or product names mentioned are properties of their respective companies. Used to get a 1 pixel horizontal line on my 30in cinema from time-to-time and not always in the same place. However, I have heard you have to flash bios or something, but I don't understand what this means. Not sure what my previous firmware ver was. BTW - a flashed PC model user above said he applied it without any issues.

I recently bought a mac pro and am thinking about removing the existing video card and installing a pci express pc video card the Radeon. Until now, booting into boot camp XP required reboots to get a boot without a scrambled screen. I noticed no problems, or changes in 30 mins of use in Mac OS. If you wanted to buy the X Mac model from Apple, the kit will come with installation instructions. Sep 22, 3: Not sure what firmware version is in your card but Apple system profiler will show the version and EFI driver version.
